Simone drops Warne, reverts to maiden name

Melbourne, June 18 (UNI) Determined to snap each and every tie with her former husband, Shane Warne's estranged wife Simone has decided to revert to her maiden name and move out of the Melbourne home that the couple had built together.

A Sunday Mail report quotes Simone Callahan, as she now wants to be known, telling New Idea magazine that she would like to be known as her own her person and not as the former wife of the leggie.

''From now on, I will be referred to as Simone Callahan,'' she said.

''It's my name. It's my identity and it is symbolic to me that I'm my own person. This is who I am, not who I was,'' Simone told the gossip magazine.

Following Warne's umpteen sex scandals, his marriage collapsed last year and Simone is determined to leave the entire episode behind her.

''It's a very big step for me, but I need closure from Shane. I need to move on and that can't happen while I'm living here in this house, with his name,'' she elaborated.

''I haven't spoken to Shane about it, but to be honest, his opinion doesn't really matter to me any more,'' she added.

Simone has bought land elsewhere in the city and will move out with three children -- Brooke, Jackson and Summer.

Simone, a former model, is trying to resurrect her career since splitting with Warne and recently she competed in the popular TV show ''Dancing With The Stars'' and this month she was voted one of the sexiest women by men's magazine FHM.

''I was pretty fragile 12 months ago. But with all the love and attention I have received from my family and the kids, I feel stronger and I feel I have more inner strength than I've ever had.

Part of that, I guess, just comes from having to deal with divorce.

''I still go through a mixture of emotions. Some days I'm happy and some days I'm sad, some days I'm mad as hell,' she added.
