Real estate firm dupes gullible public

Hubli, June 18 (UNI) A real estate company has duped several residents of Hubli of crores of Rupees, promising sites at cheap rates and in installments.

The company, run by a few people hailing from Andhra Pradesh, promised its customers developed sites at the rate of Rs 84,000 and collected Rs 1,000 to Rs 1,500 monthly and gave sites to 28 people in monthly draws. This led other people to approach the company and start paying installments, expecting to get sites. But, for the last two months, the company had locked up the office.

Those who got duped by the company have lodged a complaint with the police.
