Police seize antique gold coins

Palakkad, June 18 (UNI) The police has seized 43 antique gold coins and a chain from a person who got them from a forest in Malampuzha while cutting bamboo.

Sivan and his friend Rajan found the coins and the chain while they were engaged in cutting bamboo.

They kept them in Sivan's house without informing the police.

However on a tip off, the police searched the house and seized the antiques.

The police have sought the help of the Archaeological Department to determine the value of the seized antiques.
