JCT Mills installs steam turbine
Phagwara, June 18 (UNI) In order to overcome shortage of electricity, JCT Mills Phagwara today installed a 5.5 MW steam turbine investing Rs 10 crore.
The turbine would produce 1.10 lakh units of electricity annually.
The foundation stone for the new synthetic plant which would produce 50,000 metre special synthetic (polyster and Nylon) cloth was also laid.
The comapany would spend Rs 65 crore on this project which would start production from November this year.
On the occassion, Mr Thapar said that an additional sum of Rs 140 crore would be spend on modernising the machinery which would start functioning from December this year.
