Jazeera Airways to start flights to Delhi, Mumbai

Dubai, June 18: Jazeera Airways, Kuwait's new airline and the first private airline in West Asia, will start direct flights to New Delhi and Mumbai from July 1 with fares starting from KD10 (Rupees 1580) one-way excluding taxes.

Its expansion plan also includes brand new aircraft to its Airbus A320 fleet, scheduled for later this month and early next month.

With flights to India, the eight-month old airline has expanded its network to 10 destinations in a record time.

Jazeera Airways chairman and CEO Marwan Boodai said, ''We have crossed a major milestone in the development of Jazeera Airways with our expansion into India.'' The New Delhi flights will depart from Kuwait every Monday and Thursday at 2155 hrs and arrive in Delhi at 0430 hrs next day.

The return flight will depart New Delhi every Tuesday and Friday at 0520 hrs and arrive in Kuwait at 0705 hrs.

The Mumbai flights will leave Kuwait every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 2250 hrs and arrive in Mumbai at 0030 hrs next day.

The return flights will leave Mumbai on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday at 0615 hrs and arrive in Kuwait 0800 hrs.
