Shillong, June 18 (UNI) Taking a dig at its rival, the Nationalist Congress Party youth president Conrad Sangma today said the ''inner squabbles'' would continue to haunt the Congress party in the coming days in Meghalaya.

Mr Conrad, scion of the former Lok Sabha Speaker Purno Agitok Sangma, told UNI here that the Congress is a divided house following the difference of opinion made by the AICC leaders and state Congress leaders on the issue of seeking political stability from the NCP.

'' They should have sorted out their inner crisis instead of rushing to Mr Sangma house for poltical stability, '' said the junior Sangma adding that the former Lok Sabha Speaker made it very clear to the Congress Working Committee member Oscar Fernandez and former Chief Minister DD Lapang that the NCP would extend its support only to a ''United Congress''.

Further, Mr Conrad said, the NCP was not at all-hungry for power and the NCP decided to extend support to the ruling Congress led Meghalaya Democratic Alliance government to ensure political stability in the wake of political turmoil.

The Congress leaders should speak the truth that they had come to seek NCP's support, he said instead of creating confusions in the mind of the people.
