Ex-service man among four held for duping public
Ludhiana, Jun 18 (UNI) The Punjab Police today arrested four persons, including an ex-service man, who fleeced about a dozen people by issuing them fake appointment letters for jobs in the Army or the Military Engineering Service (MES), in Ludhiana district town.
Rajinder Singh, a pensioner who had served in Army as Naik, took money for from people for getting them jobs in the Army or MES and issued them fake appintment letters, Superintendent of Police Harish Kumar said.
His three accomplices were identified as Amarjit Singh of Amritsar and Balwant alias Raja and Balwant alias Karam Chand, bothe local residents, he added.
