Communal clash in MP, 8 held

Indore, June 18 (UNI) Eight people were arrested after members of two communities clashed and pelted stones over organising separate programmes here today at Kadhav Ghat.

Police used mild force and lobbed tear gas shells to bring the situation under control.

Additional Superintendent of Police Dharmendra Choudhary said an additional police force reached the spot and controlled the situation.

Initially, one person was arrested. However, some people created trouble at the police station over the arrest forcing police to detain seven more people.

There was no report of injuries.
