Check price hike of construction materials: Gopalakrishnan

Chennai, Jun 18 (UNI) Samajwadi party state unit President M Gopalakrishnan today appealed to TamilNadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi to check the steep hike in prices of construction materials.

In a statement here, Mr Gopalakrishnan said the prices hike of the construction materials like cement, brick, sand and other materials would halt the constructions in the state, affecting over 10 lakh people who depend on the industry.

He said it was high time for the state government to check the hike on the prices of the building materials.
