Varman Aviation to commence Turbo Prop Aero Engine overhaul in July

Bangalore, Jun 17 (UNI) Varman Aviation is all geared up to launch the overhaul line facility for Turbo Prop Engines from next month.

According to a release issued by the company the necessary infrastructural facilities including a four-storeyed building had been set up already to accommodate the workshop, offices and stores for the purpose besides a separate test cell building at Export promotion Industrial Park, Whitefield on the outskirts of the city.

The release said the facility would enable overhauling of Pratt and Whitney PT6A series engines. Pratt and Whitney Engineers were expected to complete the test bed certification by mid July.

The project team is headed by A V B Reddy, who had over three decades of jet engine experience.
