Three Maoists killed in police encounter in AP

Ongole, Andhra Pradesh, June 17 : Three naxals of CPI Maoists including a woman were killed in an encounter with the police today at Somidevipalli and Sanga pet villages at Nallamala forest in Prakasam district, about 170 km from here.

Police sources said, a team of naxals were found to be moving around in the forest area and were ordered by the police to surrender. When the naxals opened fire, police had to retaliate.

The deceased were in the age group of 18-22 years, sources added.
