Tension prevails in Mutthiganj, force deployed

Allahabad, June 17 : Additional police and PAC force were deployed in the old city area of Mutthiganj today in view of the tension following the murder of two brothers.

Kaleem and Saleem were stabbed in Bahadurganj locality under mutthiganj police station last night,over a dispute of taking illegal power connection (katia).

According to police, a resident of bahadurganj locality was connecting a '' katia'' from electric pole which disturbed the power supply of his neighbour's house. The altercation led to the incident in which members of one group attacked the victims with sharp edged weapons and seriously injured the two brothers who later died at S R N hospital.

An angry mob stones on the house of the attacker, and tried to beat him but the timely arrival of the police saved the situation from getting worse.

Senior police officials have visited the locality.
