Sugar prices improves on better demand

Navi Mumbai, June 17 (UNI) Sugar prices improved on better demand, traders at the sugar market said today.

Sugar rates in small grade rose by Rs 12 per quintal on reduced stock supply while medium grade remained steady on moderate demand.

Sugar rates in ex-mill small grade went up by Rs five per quintal on better buying support while medium grade remained flat on moderate demand.

Following were the sugar spot rates per quintal: Small grade Rs 1,872/1,915, medium grade Rs 1,905/1,960.

Ex-mill small grade Rs 1,850/1880 and medium grade Rs 1,880/1,915.
