Student protest continues for second day at medical college
Vijayawada, Jun 17 (UNI) The protest by Government Dental College and Hospital students against their principal for 'harassing them' continued for the second day today.
Since yesterday, more than 100 students, including some house surgeons, abstained from duty to protest against Ms S J Wesley allegedly harassing them.
They also alleged the college did not have proper infrastructure and funds were being misused.
The principal with indulging in graft, the students claimed while demanding a white paper on the funds allocated for the development of the college.
Meanwhile, Ms Wesley refuted the charges saying they were far from the truth.
Admitting that in the past the hospital had suffered due to lack of proper infrastructure, she said the situation had changed now.
Referring to the charge of harassment, she said there was no scope for her to tamper with the records as they were handled by the faculty members.
