Senior leader Govardhan Reddy dismisses reports of discontent

Nalgonda, Andhra Pradesh, June 17 (UNI) Senior Conress leader Palvai Govardhan Reddy today denied any discontent in the district Congress.

He was asked by media at a press conference if the differences he had with the Chief Minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy were responsible for his refusal to contest the Zilla Parishad Chairman post.

Strongly denying that he had any differences with the Chief Minister, he said he had declined to contest because of his age.

Though all the district MLAs, MPs and ministers of the district assured him the best of their cooperation, he said after careful thought he had decided it was not wise to contest.
