Retd Defence official arrested on rape charges

Hyderabad, June 17 (UNI) A retired US defence official was arrested today on charges of allegedly raping his maid.

According to the police, the former official was living in the Banjara Hills area of the city after retirement.

The victim, Zahirunnisa, of Guntur was working as a maid in the oficial's house.

She lodged a complaint with the police stating that the retired official had allegedly raped her at gunpoint when she was alone with him in the house.
