Probe into irregularities in the secretariat

Bangalore, June 17 : Karnataka Legislative Assembly Speaker Krishna will write to the High Court to appoint a retired judge to probe into the alleged irregularities in the secretariat involving Secretary T S Rajanna and seven others.

Announcing this to newsmen here Legislature Principal Secretary Robin D'souza said the speaker was likely to write in a day or two in this regard. The Corps of Detectives report related to the same issue was in possession of the speaker, he added.

On a petition by Janata Dal (Secular) leader D Manjunath, seeking disqualification of former Deputy Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and others on the ground of anti party activities, he said the speaker had given a month's time to give their explanation as against three months sought by the leaders.
