Nagarathna wins women's title

Visakhapatnam, Jun 17 (UNI) M S Nagarathan of LIC Mysore division won the women's title of the 40th LIC South Central Zonal Chess tournament here today.

Bangalore division's Hanumantha and Narayanabhat were declared joint-winners in the men's section.

About 39 players from 16 divisions including Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka participated in the tournament.

Results(Women): M S Nagarthan (5) C H Radha Devi (4.5), C Rajya Lakshmi(4.5) B Renuka Kumari (4) points.

Men: Hanumantha (4.5) and Narayanabhat (4.5), R Rayadev (4) and V Srinivasulu (4) points.
