MRPL to supply oil to STC, Mauritius

New Delhi, June 17 (UNI) Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd (MRPL), (a subsidiary of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation of India Ltd), has signed an agreement for supply of about 1.03 Million Metric Tons petroleum products to State Trading Corporation (STC) of Mauritius for the year 2006-07 commencing from August 2006.

The products to be supplied are Gas Oil (350 000 Metric Tons); Jet A1 (260 000 Metric Tons); Mogas (90 000 Metric Tons); Fuel Oil 180 CST / 380 CST (3,30,000 Metric Tons) and represent full one year requirement of Mauritius.

The agreement was signed by Director Finance, MRPL, Lalit Kumar Gupta, General Manager STC, Ranjit Singh Soomarooah, General Manager, on Wednesay at Port Louis, Mauritius.

It is the first time that STC has negotiated directly with a refinery for the supply of Petroleum Products to Mauritius.
