Missing person found dead

Barrackpore, Jun 17(UNI) Body of a 29-year old Sadar Bazar resident, who remained missing since May 12 last was fished out of the river Hooghly Near the Mahadevananda Ashram Ferry ghat under Barrackpore police station this afternoon, police said.

A section of the Sadar Bazar people were on search of the victim Bablu Das, after his slippers were found from the vicinity of the river on June 13 and his bicycle was fished out of the river by a fisherman yesterday afternoon.

The body was sent for post-mortem, police said adding that two people were arrested so far in this connection.
