Meghalaya CM submits probable ministers list to Cong high command

New Delhi, June 17 (UNI) Newly-appointed Meghalaya Chief Minister J D Rymbai today submitted a list of eight candidates to the Congress high command for inclusion in the state's Council of Ministers.

Addressing newspersons, Mr Rymbai said he held a discussion with AICC incharge for North Eastern Region Oscar Fernandes and submitted a list of eight probables for the cabinet and added that all of them were from the Congress.

He said two members of the alliance parties had already taken oath on June 15 and another would be joining the cabinet soon.

Mr Rymbai was accompanied by state Congress President O L Nongtdu and Secretary of the Congress Legislative Party in Meghalaya Charles Pyngrope.

He said the list could not be finalised as Ms Gandhi had to leave Delhi and is expected to arrive late in the night.

Mr Rymbai said the list is expected to be cleared in a day or two and that he would visit the national capital again for a detailed discussion with the party high command once the Budget session of the State Assembly was over.
