M G University offers M Sc course in Disaster Management

Kottayam, June 17 (UNI) The Mahatma Gandhi University is offering M Sc course in Disaster Management for the first time in the country.

According to an official press release, the School of Environmental Sciences of the University is offering the course in the regular scheme with Geographic Information System and Remote Sensing specialization.

Lightning, Tsunami, earthquake, cyclone, landside, tornado, drought, volcanic eruption and flood are among the syllabus of the course.

Selection to the course would be on the basis of an all-India entrance test and interview, the release added.
