Govt committed to increase Khadi profits: Ramachandran

Coimbatore, Jun 17 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Khadi Board Minister K Ramachandran today said the government was making all efforts to improve the profitability of Khadi products by focussing on the ways to increase the sale.

Talking to newspersons here, he said the procurement of khadi products by various government agencies would be reintroduced.

Following a High Court order steps were taken to reinstate 862 workers who were sacked by the previous Government, he added.

The government would also take necessary steps to overcome the difficulties of the manufacturing units to procure raw materials, Mr Ramachandran said.
