Fresh case against RJD MP Shahabuddin
Siwan, (Bihar) June 17 (UNI) A fresh case was today lodged against the controversial incarcerated RJD MP Md Shahabuddin who threatened to kill Siwan jail superintendent Lalan Prasad.
Official sources said here that the case was registered at Muffasil police station. With the filing of the fresh FIR, Shahabuddin is now facing 42 criminal cases of different nature.
According to the charges lauelled in the FIR, Md Shahabuddin abused and threatened Mr Prasad with dire consequences when the latter contacted him during the day for his production in the special court hearing the cases on day-to-day basis.
Before filing an FIR, the jail superintendent also apprised the District Magistrate, Police Superintendent and Special Public Prosecutor of the threats given to him by the incarcerated MP.
Owing to health grounds, Md Shahabuddin refused to appear before the special court for the third day today. The court heard the petition related to the health problems of the MP.
The court has fixed June 19 as the next date of hearing.
