Former Sri Lankan PM offers worship at Tirumala

Tirumala, June 17 (UNI) Fromer Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickremsinghe offered worship at the Lord Venkateswara Temple here today.

Mr Singhe, who is now leader of the Oposition arrived here last night after having a darshan of Puttaparti Satya Sai Baba in Anantapur district, along with his wife. He was received at the temple by TTD executive officer APVN Sarma and special officer of the temple A V Dharma Reddy.

He was extended the temple honours by the priest and presented with prasadam, a portrait of the lord Balaji and spiritual literature.

Later, the couple left for Chennai.

Police made special security arrangments for the visit.
