England win toss and bowl in first one-dayer v Sri Lanka

LONDON, England, June 17 (Reuters) England won the toss and chose to bowl in bright sunshine in the first one-day international against Sri Lanka at Lord's today.

England made one change from the two-run defeat by Sri Lanka in the Twenty20 International on Thursday, with Ian Bell replacing the injured Ed Joyce. Sri Lanka brought in all rounder Russel Arnold and top spin bowler Muttiah Muralitharan.

Andrew Strauss is leading England in the five-match series in the absence of regular skipper Michael Vaughan and his stand-in Andrew Flintoff. They are still recovering from injury.
