Centre deputes delegation

Tirupur, Jun 17 (UNI) The Centre has deputed a delegation under the chairmanship of Secretary, Union Textile Ministry to visit China from June 18 to 24 to interact with representatives of Chinese Government and industries for exchange of ideas.

A press release from Tirupur Exporters Association (TEA) here said TEA President A Sakthivel has also been nominated as a member of the delegation.

With the turn of events triggered by the advent of the non-quota regime, both India and China are at the threshold of major shift in their respective textiles industries.

The American and Europen markets are looking for sourcing their requirements. The two countries could supplement each others' capabilities to mutual advantage, the release added.
