Best Citizens of India Award for Kuldeep Kumar

Shimla, June 17 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Industries Minister Kuldeep Kumar has been conferred with the Best Citizens of India Award 2006, for his social work, an official spokesman said.

Mr Kumar encouraged welfare activities aimed at improving the social, economic and educational standards of people and added quality to the economically poor and the socially neglected sections, since this should be the aim and goal of any politician, his citation read.

The minister was also lauded for his unwavering and steadfast loyalty to Congress and its noble tenets, which have withstood the test of time.
