Agumbe receives 13 cm of rain
Bangalore, June 17 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded by the Weather Office here at 0830hrs today.
Monsoon was active over South Interior Karnataka. Rainfall occurred at most places over Coastal Karnataka and at many places over North Interior Karnataka.
Agumbe recorded very heavy rainfall of 13 cm.
Heavy Rainfall amounts (cm): Subramanya 11, Periyapatna, Jagalur, Hirekerur, Kolar, Sulya 7 each.
Other chief rainfall amounts (cm): Puttur, Mudigere, Madhugiri 6 each, Dharmasthala, Belthangadi, Kota, Ramdurg, Mundargi, Mulbagal (Kolar dt), Hadagalli (Bellary dt), Holalkere (Chitradurga dt) 5 each, Kollur, Annigere, Bidar, Bangarpet, Sidlaghatta, Kolar, Honnali, Chikkanahalli 4 each.
Forecast valid until Monday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at many places over the State.
Farmers Weather Bulletin: Moderate rain likely to occur at many places over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka, Belgaum, Dharwad, Haveri districts of North Interior Karnataka and Bellary, Davanagere, Chitradurga, Tumkur, Kolar, Mandya, Mysore, Bangalore Rural and Bangalore Urban districts of South Interior Karnataka and at a few places over Bijapur, Bagalkote, Koppal, and Gadag districts of North Interior Karnataka and remaining districts of South Interior Karnataka. Light to moderate rain likely to occur at isolated places over remaining districts of North Interior Karnataka.
Heavy rainfall warning: Heavy rain may occur at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka during next 24 hours.
Local forecast: Generally cloudy. One or two spells of rain/ thundershowers.
