4 killed, 12 injured in road mishap

Bijapur, June 17 (UNI) Four people, including two women, were killed and 12 others injured when the autorickshaw in which they were travelling was hit by a state-owned bus near Hirerhgi village in this district of Karnataka today.

Police said the mishap occurred when the auto, proceeding from the village to Indi town in the district, tried to overtake the bus.

While three of them died on the spot, one succumbed to injuries at the General Hospital at Indi.

The injured were being treated at the hospital.
