18-year-old hangs herself after failing exam for second time

New Delhi, Jun 17 (UNI) An 18-year-old girl allegedly committed suicide in her house in North-east Delhi's Gokulpuri area today.

Police said Trishta alias Sheetal, a student of class 11 in the Yamuna Vihar Government school hung herself as she had failed her examination for the second consecutive year.

She was found hanging from the ceiling fan at about 1600 hrs by her father and was rushed to hospital where she was declared brought dead.

Further investigations are on, the police added.
