15 killed in truck-trolley collision in Barmer

Barmer, Jun 17 (UNI) At least 15 people were killed when a truck collided with a pick-up trolley on National Highway number 15 in Barmer district while nine others were critically injured in the accident.

According to the police, the trolley's driver in a bid to overtake a bus collided with a truck coming from the opposite direction near petrol pump on Dhorimana road yesterday.

The impact of the collision was so tremendous that 15 people died on the spot. The trolley was damaged totally. The injured were admitted to the government hospital.

The police superintendent Umesh Chand Datta and District Collector Subir Kumar reached the spot after the accident.
