New Delhi, June 17 (UNI) About 14 cyclists from Uttar Pradesh, who are on an 'Aman Yatra' (peace mission) which will take them to Kaba in Saudi Arabia, met Congress president Sonia Gandhi here.
The cyclists, who set off from Varanasi on May 15 on their 'Kashi Se Kaba Tak' (from Varanasi to Kaba) Yatra, arrived here a few days ago enroute to their journey which will also take them to Pakistan, Jordan and Iran.
The cyclists, hailing from Varanasi and aged between 25-30 years, are currently in Delhi waiting for their visas of the countries which they are scheduled to visit during their Rajiv Gandhi Aman Yatra. In course of their travel, the cyclists will enter Pakistan via the Wagah border and then proceed to Iran and Jordan to reach Saudi Arabia.
During her meeting with the cyclists at her 10 Janpath residence yesterday, Mrs Gandhi, while appreciating their spirit to embark on this 'adventurous peace march', assured them of her support in organising visas and completion of all formalities with regards to their visit.
