Bhopal, June 16 (UNI) Bharatiya Janashakti President Uma Bharti today said women would be provided 50 per cent place along with men in the party organisation.

Addressing a state-level membership convention here, said besides women, SCs, STs and OBCs would be taken care of.

''Minorities must be given importance but efforts should not be made to appease them,'' she said.

Stressing on the need for providing opportunities to eradicate poverty of minorities, she announced that the party would not form a frontal organisation for them.

The sadhvi said every party worker must work with the aim of serving poor, as it would help in developing unity and coordination in the party besides expanding its social base.

She claimed that the BJ would force the BJP to bite the dust in all the next elections but will also ensure that the Congress does not reap its benefits.

Replying to queries by representatives from various districts, Ms Bharti said those who had come to the BJ first would be number one even if those coming later from other parties were number one in their organisation.

The meeting informed about membership campaign.
