Witness turns hostile in ministers murder case
Patna, June 16 (UNI) A witness of the prosecution side in the murder case of former Bihar Science and Technolgy Minister Brij Bihari Prasad today turned hostile during his deposition in a local court.
During the day, the CBI produced its 32nd witness Sonelal before additional district and sessions judge of Patna Ram Niwas Prasad.
The witness denied that he had ever given any statement to the investigating agency during the investigation of the case. On the prayer of CBI, the witness was declared hostile by the court.
Mr Brij Bihari Prasad was shot dead inside the premises of Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (IGIMS) here on June 13, 1998.
At the time of his murder, Mr Prasad was under judicial custody in connection with a scam pertaining to alleged irregularities committed in a competitive examination.
