Tiwari and Rawat to spearhead Assembly election: Chaturvedi
Dehra Dun, June 16 (UNI) Uttaranchal Congress Committee would fight forthcoming Assembly election in the state under the leadership of Chief Minister N D Tiwari and party's state President Harish Rawat, Rajya Sabha member from the state Satyavrat Chaturvedi said here today.
Mr Satyvrat, responding to the media queries on the Congress infighting in the state, said beside small differences between the Government and the organisation, both were working effectively with each others co-operation. ''The coming election will be fought under collective leadership of government and the organisation,'' he said.
Responding to a query on the distribution of tickets, he said it was the prerogative of Congress High Command.
Mr Chaturvedi, lisitng out the priority of his party, said empowering the financially weaker sections, maintaining balance between agriculture and industrial development, developing tourism and finding solution to unemployment through it and making the state a model state of the country were few of its priorities.
