Supermax management re-instates workers; Strike ends
Shimla, June 16 (UNI) Workers of the Supermax Blade industries returned to work today after a one-day strike yesterday following an agreement between the workers and the industries management which reinstated all the 66 suspended workers.
''The workers have returned to work after the management agreed to take back all the 66 employees suspended on Wednesday,'' CITU's Shimla district President Vijender Mehra told UNI here.
He said a meeting between the workers and the management has been scheduled for Tuesday and only after a decision on whether to continue with the strike or call off would be taken.
For now the workers have decided to return to work, pending their talks with the management, he said.
Yesterday, the workers held a demonstration outside the company office, demanding the reinstatement of all the suspended employees after which the company invited them for talks on Tuesday, Mr Mehra added.
