Suncity to pump in Rs 15,000 cr for 24 mega projects across India

New Delhi, June 16 (UNI) Suncity Projects, which has completed its Rs 250 crore Cross River Mall here, has lined up mega investment plans of Rs 15,000 crore for 24 projects including building shopping malls, residential colonies and amusement parks, across the country.

The group is working on 24 mega projects, including townships in Jaipur, Rohtak, Gurgaon, Rewari, Indore, Kaithal and Alwar, shopping malls in Mohali and Jaipur and high-tech cities in Ghaziabad and Vridavan, Mathura.

''We have already invested Rs 6,000 crore in our projects at Ghaziabad and Vridavan, for which we have acquired about 1,500 acres of land. We expect to get the government's approval for the remaining 5,000 acres in the next six months,'' Suncity Chairman L N Goel told reporters here.

Mr Goel also said they have partnered with a Singapore-based firm for a 5,000 acre 'Dankuni' project in Kolkata, which is in the initial stages.

The company has already invested Rs 2,500 to 3,000 crore for its project at Jaipur, he said adding that an amount of Rs 300 crore has been invested for its Alwar project.

The Chairman said their endeavor was to provide international quality real estate infrastructure for shopping, commercial, leisure and housing activities.

The 800 square feet Cross River Mall, to be inaugurated tommorrow, has four floors containing separate sections for shopping, entertainment and leisure.

The mall, equipped with gas-based electricity, will have more than 70 leading brands and a four-screen multiplex by Fun Republic, with a capacity of 1,128 seats.
