Sensex opens positive today, continues to rally
Mumbai, Jun 16: Taking the lead from the global performers, the market today opened in a positive mood and continued the rally from where it had left yesterday.
The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Sensex opened up by 158 points at 9,703.06 points as compared to the yesterday's close and touched a high of 9,987.47 points on reduced fears of inflation in the US market and comparatively better performance of their economy, brokers said.
This would have a direct impact on the stocks of the US markets and resultant impact on the global markets, brokers added.
All the scrips on the BSE Sensex were in the green, with Tisco leading by 7.81 per cent, followed by Satyam Computers, HDFC, Hero Honda, Hindalco, Tata Motors, TCS, and Wipro, all up by 6.5 to 7.5 per cent.
