School autorikshaws organize dharna before collectorate
Surat, Jun 16 (UNI) School autorikshaw drivers today organized a ''dharna'' in front of the district collectorate and submitted a memorandum to the collector requesting the state government to revoke its decision that disallows autorikshaws carrying more than six students to schools.
Yesterday the agitating autorikshaw drivers organized a demonstration before the Regional Transport Office, here. The agitating auto drivers wanted permissions to carry 10 students to schools in their autos.
President of the Surat City School Auto Association, Raju Bhandari said that the school autos are now on an ''indefinite strike'' and they will continue the strike till the government takes a positive decision.
