One killed and a police constable injured in Kashmir

Srinagar, June 16 (UNI) One person was killed and a constable of Jammu and Kashmir police was shot at and wounded in the city today, official sources said.

They said militants shot at and wounded a police constable near crowded general bus stand at Batmaloo today. He was admitted to hospital.

People present in the area ran for safety after hearing the bullet shots.

Sources said one Bilal Ahmad Ganai, who was critically wounded by militants at Chatabal in the down town city on June 13 evening, died in the hospital.
