Lohia will remain inspiration for all generations: Mulayam

Lucknow, June 16 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh chief minister Mulayam Singh Yadav today observed that Dr Ram Manohar Lohia would remain a perennial source of inspiration for all generations.

Mr Yadav was speaking after inaugurating an exhibition showing the achievements of the UP government and the inspiration it got from Dr Lohia -- the socialist thinker.

The exhibition, depicting the theme that UP was heading to transform itself into 'Uttam Pradesh' and the prospects of speedy development of the state no longer seem uphill, was organised at Ambedkar Maidan here on the occasion of distrubution of unemployment allowance to registered graduates and post-graduates by the CM.

The exhibition showcased the priorities of the government and its achievements in various spheres. It also revealed, through 70 rare photographs, the life and times of Dr Lohia and his social thoughts.

Among others present on the occasion were labour minister Waqar Ahmad Shah, MP Mohan Singh, Lucknow divisional commissioner R K Mittal and Joint Directore Information Ram Avtar Prasad.
