Landmark Group launches 2nd Max Retail store
Ahmedabad, Jun 16: Max Retail of the Landmark Group (Dubai), a foremost retailer in the Middle East, is all set to tap Indian retail market with an investment of Rs 100-crore in next few years, says Mr Vasanth Kumar, president of the group, here today.
Talking to reporters here at the launch of 2nd store of Max Retail Store in India, located at India's first Designer Mall 'GALLOP' on Sarkhej-Gandhinagar highway in posh Satellite area of the city, Mr Vasanth Kumar, President of Group, said the store is launched with an objective to offer contemporary fashion at affordable prices. Max will create a new segment of 'Value Retail' in India.
Mr Kumar said, the Max store developed over 25,000 square feet is the 2nd of the 100 stores planned by the group in next 5 years in the years. It has been developed at a cost of Rs 5-crore.
The company is expecting to make turnover of Rs 7-10 crore per annum from this store, he added.
He said, over the next quarter, Max Retail Stores will be launched in New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Nagpur and Agra. The 1st store was opened in Indore in March, 2006.
