Lalu nod for Tanakpur-Bageshwar railway line.

Dehra Dun, June 16 (UNI) Union Railway Minister Lalu Prasad has given his nod for the 110 km long Tanakpur-Bageshwar railway line in Uttaranchal.

According to an official release issued here today, in a letter addressed to Chief Minister N D Tiwari, Railway Minister has stated that survey work would begin soon and fund provided from survey budget 2006-07 for Tanakpur-Bageshwar railway line.

In a bid to promote tourism in the state and connectivity being the most essential part, Mr Tiwari has further urged the Railway Minister to provide line from Mujaffarnagar to Haridwar which too have received positive reply from him.
