Hubli, June 16 (UNI) Former Karnataka Minister and Congress leader R V Deshpande today accused the JD (S)-BJP coalition government in the state of having failed on all fronts.

Talking to newspersons here, he alleged that the government was neglecting the interests of the farming community. With the onset of Southwest monsoon, the government should have provided a subsidy on seeds for farmers. Instead it was busy giving out assurances, he said.

Criticising both the JD (S) and BJP for creating unnecessary problems in the implementation of the Bangalore-Mysore Infrastructure Corridor project (BMIC), Mr Deshpande wanted the state government to honour the Supreme Court order on the issue. If not, it should go in for a revision petition.

''The Chief Minister lacked experience and is desperate over the BMIC issue. The government's stand on the issue is not clear as the state cabinet is yet to take a decision on BMIC,'' he said.

Mr Deshpande accused former Prime Minister and JD (S) supremo H D Deve Gowda of stalling development projects like International airport and BMIC in the state by unnecessarily interfering in the matters.

Predicting that the government would soon fall due its own mistakes, he said instead of levelling corruption charges against the Congress, the Chief Minister should come out with specific names.

To a question, he said the Congress would get further strengthened, if former Deputy Chief Minister Siddaramaiah joined it.
