JK Sharma appointed SJVNL's new Director Civil

Shimla, June 16 (UNI) Public sector power major Satluj Jal Vidyut Nigam (SJVNL), executing the 1500 MW Nathpa Jhakri Hydro Power Project in Himachal Pradesh, has appointed a new Director (Civil) J K Sharma who took over his new assignment on June 14, a company spokesman said today.

Mr Sharma was General Manager (Contracts) and head of the 1020 MW Khab Hydro Power Project before taking over the new post.

The spokesman said Mr Sharma had joined the organisation on May 24, 2004 as its General Manager before being named the Head of the Nathpa Jhakri Project on September 2004, a post he held till January earlier this year.

The new director played an important role in streamlining the project's functioning he added.
