IPF to showcase east in plastic exhibition

Kolkata, Jun 16 (UNI) The Indian Plastics Federation would showcase eastern India in the forthcoming Indplas'06, the international plastics exhibition.

IPF has joined hands with Plastindia Foundation and West Bengal Industrial Development Corporation (WBIDC) for organising Indplas'06 in Kolkata from November 24 to November 26, 2006.

IPF president K M Tibrewala said the federation was expecting more than 300 exhibitors at the show this year.

"We are focusing on South Asian and Asean countries in the event", he said.

Vietnam, Myanmar and Bangladesh plastics associations had already confirmed their participation. "We are also expecting a team from Pakistan," he added.

He said the team from Pakistan would participate in the exhibition as delegates.

"Plans are on to showcase power efficient state of the art technology for plastics industry as power is one of the main cost of raw materials," he said.

The exhibition would spread over 30,000 square metre and would showcase the latest in plastics raw materials, processing machinery's, moulds and dyes, ancillary and converting equipment.
