Heavy rains likely in several places

Pune, June 16 (UNI) The southwest monsoon has been active in Assam and Meghalaya.

Heat wave conditions prevailed at isolated places in Vidarbha and Chattisgarh.

In the regions where the southwest monsoon is yet to set in, day temperatures were appreciably above normal in Madhya Pradesh and in remaining parts of Vidarbha and Chattisgarh and were above normal in east Uttar Pradesh and north Madhya Maharashtra.They were below normal in some parts of Punjab,Hiamachal Pradesh and Rajasthan.They were normal over the rest the regions.

Heavy rains are likely to occure at most places in coastal Karnataka and Kerala and Lakshadweep and at many places in south Konkan and Goa.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Arunachal Pradesh,Assam and Meghalaya,Nagaland,Maniur,Mizoram, Tripura,north Konkan,interior Karnataka and Andman and Nicobar Islands and at a few places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim Uttaranchal,Himachal Pradesh,Jammu and Kashmir,Madhya Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh State and Tamil Nadu and at isolated places in Gangetic West Bengal,Orissa,Jharkhand,Bihar,Uttar Pradesh,Haryana, Punjab,Rajasthan,Madhya Pradesh,Vidarbha,Chattisgarh,Gujrat State and Marathwada.

Heavy rains have occured at many places in Assam and Meghalaya and at most places in coastal Karnataka.

Very light rains are occured at isolated places in west Uttar Pradesh,Uttaranchal and Madhya Maharashtra.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in south interior Karnataka,Kerala and Jammu and Kashmir and at many places in Nagaland,Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura,Himachal Pradesh and Rayalseema and at few places in Arunachal Pradesh,Gangetic West Bengal,Punjab, Konkan and Goa,Telangana,north interior Karnataka,Andman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep and at isolated places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim,Orissa,Haryana,east Rajasthan,coastal Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.
