Foreign reserves decline by USD 1.65 bn to 162.876 bn

Mumbai June 16 (UNI) According to a weekly statistical report issued by the RBI the foreign exchange reserves as on June nine declined by USD 1.65 billion to touch US Dollar 162.876 billion.

Also in keeping with the international best practice RBI has included USD 77 billion as reserve in the Inetrnational Monetary Fund.

The total food credit for the last fortnight, stood at Rs 588 crore and the Non Food credit was at Rs 4,896 crore.

Loans and advances to the Central government as on June two was to the tune of Rs 8,966 crore, the weekly report stated.
