Five Maoists sent to jail
Patna, June 16 (UNI) Chief Judicial Magistrate of Patna Sushma Sinha today remanded five Maoists to judicial custody till June 30.
During the day, Patna police produced all the five Maoists before the court. Two seperate FIRs were registered with different police stations against the accused.
According to the charges, Ajay Bharti, a resident of Begusarai district, was arrested under Jakkanpur police station on June 15 last.
Naxal literature, posters, banners and other objectionable articles were recovered by police.
An FIR was registered under the charges of sedition.
Ajay Bharti had also been accused of having contact with a banned extremist organisation.
Another FIR was registered with Phulwarisharif police station against four people, including in-charge of North Bihar CPI (Maoist) Satish Kumar alias Vinay Kumar, Deepak Kumar, Sunil Kumar and Kavindra alias Bhalu.
As per the FIR, all the four accused were arrested along with illegal arms, ammunition, stolen mobile phones and naxal literature on June 14 last.
